Fine Art

I finished the rather massive task of converting all the recordings I have of Fine Art to digital format and am currently searching for former Fine Artists. If you were in the band, or know of the whereabouts of former members, please let me know! 2008 marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the band and I would love to do something special for it.

Also of note: There was finally a showing of the Twin/Tone movie, 7 Nights In The Entry from 1981. The film by Rick Fuller includes two songs by Fine Art along with performances by The Replacements, Husker Du, The Hypstrz and a bunch of other great Twin Cities bands. I understand there are no plans for a commercial release on DVD which is a shame since it captures a very creative moment in Minnesota's music history.

Sound Commandos

The Sound Commandos album is a collaboration between myself and fellow Blue Water Records artist, Christopher J Wray. The full-length album represents the best of Chris's and my music, in combo. The album is available for download on iTunes, e-music, Rhapsody and other on-line music retailers, as well as directly from Blue Water, which also has CDs available. Blue Water has special pricing on a 3 album bundle (Sound Commandos, Millions and Dreamers Two). Blue Water's Downtempo Collection includes those 3 albums plus Wintermute's The Principles of Chill and Chris's The Time Bell. That's more than five hours of chilled-out bliss!

The Twin Freaks EP is now available from the Sound Commandos online shop! The EP features the Radio Edit of Twin Freaks, plus remixes of three other tunes; River Road (Groove Mix), Black (From White Light to Oblivion Remix), and Sloppy Charisma (Chamber Hoedown Mix). Millions

Millions is still doing very well, being discovered by new listeners on iTunes particularly, where it has had some good reviews. Rate Your Music has a page on me. Go ahead and give me a rating or a review. The more the merrier!

ambient.us will continue distributing Colinizations II and Black Box, White Table as downloads from their site. The download includes the complete album(s) as well as graphics etc. Just so you know what you're in for, they have 30-second previews of all the tunes. Of course, some of my tunes do take a little longer than that to get going, but it's still nice to be able to preview the music.
